The Symbiotic Extension, situated at the intersection of social and ecological transitions on the site, aims to address the aging infrastructure of 6901 Lynn Way by establishing a connection between the two communities separated by the MLK Jr. busway and rail line. It seeks to introduce new spaces that are culturally relevant and socially equitable to the existing incubator spaces. it aims to create a true sense of place by physically connecting Point Breeze North and Homewood with pedestrian access, going beyond simple repair and maintenance through a proposed symbiotic extension.
