Academia grapples with mainstream urban housing studios, often resulting in either utopian and whimsical outcomes or succumbing entirely to economic and regulatory pressures. This studio positions itself between these two extremes, aspiring to steer mainstream housing design towards the creation of meaningful spaces. It delves into the potential of cooperative housing societies, contemplating what they 'could be' if the space for innovation facilitated by this 'participation' were explored within the constraints faced by developers and architects.
